Daquan Thompson was born and raised in Philadelphia.
After growing up competing in numerous hip hop/jazz competitions, his official
dance training began in 2000 at the Girard Academic Music Program. Daquan was
a musical theatre major in high school while training with Koresh Dance company
where he still trains today. After training at the University of the Arts for
1 year, he has shown his versatility by doing commercial work such as touring
with Reggae sweetheart Omeil of Terrolonge records, Recording artist Santalina
of Jaxum Records and also working/training with Eleone Dance Theatre, Philadanco,
and currently Dance Theatre X under the direction of Charles O. Anderson. He is
a cheerleading coach for the North Philly Aztecs (pop warner) as well as a cheerleader
for the Cheer Tyme Gator Allstars (coed open team). Daquans training consist of
Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern (Dunham, Horton, and Paul Taylor) Gymantics Tumbling,
Cheerleading, African, and Musical Theatre. |
