What started as a random decision for her mother to
enroll her in classes at a new local dance school, soon grew into a passion that
Lauren Rahilly has been pursuing since the age of four.
Miss Lauren has been classically trained in Ballet & Pointe, Lyrical, Tap,
Jazz and hip Hop. Becoming a dance educator at the studio where she grew up, she
furthered her dance education by attending additional conventions, workshops,
and competitions, and went on to personally study with such instructors as Chebar
Williams, Charles McGowen, Cris Judd, Sheila Barker, and Frank Hatchett. Not
only has Miss Lauren shared her love of dance with her school but she has also
devoted herself to sharing her talents with the community around her. Miss Lauren
has helped raise thousands of dollars through dance for such charitable foundations
as Samaritan Hospice and Providence House, both of Burlington County. Her choreography
has been featured in community performances for local events in the Mt. Laurel/Mt.
Holly area, as well as for the Burlington County Farm Fair. Miss Lauren's dedication
to Rancocas Valley earned her choreography assistant coach.
Miss Lauren's choreography has been awarded various first place medals, as well
as Outstanding and Innovative Choreography Awards. Her dancers have been recognized
regionally and nationally for their showmanship, technical excellence and spirit.
Miss Lauren is currently finishing her final year as
a Psychology major at Arcadia University and will be working to obtain her masters
in Clinical Psychology beginning in fall 2008. Miss
Lauren hopes to instill a love of learning in all of her dancers and ignite a
passion for dance in even the youngest of her students. |
